City of Ember - Looks hot!

City of Ember
I'm a bit of a fan of kiddie films, fantasy kiddie films, actually all fantasy / sci-fi films, so it's probably of little surprise that the upcoming movie City of Ember appeals to my inner child sensibilities. City of Ember is based on a novel and follows the story of the people of the City of Ember. Essentially they've been living in a huge underground city for a couple of century's, but the power generator is about to go pop, so a couple of teens have to search Ember for clues that will unlock the ancient mystery of the city's existence.


As fans of this genre we're probably already aware of a couple of things, they'll find the outside world and it probably won't be as dreadful as those that run the city of Ember had them believe. I could be wrong as I haven't read the book and know nothing about it... and nor do I want to, because the movie looks pretty cool.

City of Ember opens October 10 USA and December 11 Australia.
