Is Chloe leaving Smallville?

I really hope this isn't true, but there are plenty of rumblings that Chloe Sullivan (aka Allison Mack) is on her way out of Smallville. As one of the few remaining cast originals and big name characters, I think this would be pretty devastating for the series. Perhaps its time has come and they need to shut up shop.


Michael Rosenbaum who played Lex Luther has also left the series and Kristin Kreuk who plays Lana Lang has only signed on for a few episodes in the next season so she can pursue other avenues.

Kreuk and Mack are apparently in business together along with fellow geek actress Nicki Clyne (Cally in Battlestar Galactica). I wonder if their online business plan has anything to do with all their recent departures from the hit scifi series they were (are) part of. Hmmm.
